Let Us Pray!
Our Heavenly Father, the maker of the whole universe, the giver of lives, King of Kings, the Almighty God, hallow be thy name O’Lord.
God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob, I pray that You would bless our governor Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri with Your divine wisdom and the mind of Christ, so that he can make decisions with understanding and humility. I acknowledge Your Supreme authority and ask that our governor would rightly appropriate Your place in his life. Grant him the grace to lead this great people, just like you granted Moses the ability to rule and lead thy people out of Egypt, help your servant, our governor to lead Adamawa State to its rightful destination. AMEN!
“The LORD foils the plans of the nations; He thwarts the purposes of the peoples. But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of His heart through all generations.” – Psalm 33:10-11
O’Lord, I know that in the midst of hard times, you have kingdom purpose for your people. Our country Nigeria is at its knees, and our state Adamawa and its people are at their lowest. I know that all of these that is happening, none surprises you because we have falling short of thy glory. I know you are at work in ways that we cannot see. I therefore pray, O’Lord, please guide our governor Fintiri to the right direction you want the state to move. Teach him the ways of leadership, reveal to him the deep secret things of God and open his eyes to see vision and guide his decision to honour you and let his actions be to the general good of all people. AMEN!

Oh, mighty Jehovah, I pray for our Governor. Please give him divine wisdom to lead this state and its people, those in his cabinet, party politicians, oppositions and the general electorates, including children aright. I pray that he would serve and revere You in his thought, words and actions, so that you will prosper all the efforts he put in governance. I humbly ask again Almighty Father, that You grant him grace to know how to unify the diverse people you have given under his care, that we all may live in peace to practice our legitimate engagements. AMEN!
The Nigerian nation is in serious hard times, in particular our state Adamawa is facing immense challenges ranging from financial hardship, economic shutdowns, devastation from violence and insecurity, and great political division among many other things. Our governor is therefore saddle with this great task of continuous provision of dividend of democracy, good governance and the entrenchment of peace as he have started since 2019, he faces fierce challenges and opportunities on the domestic, national and international fronts. O’Lord please grant him divine wisdom to navigate our state through the uncertain path that lies ahead, so as to arrive at the destination of the New Adamawa State. AMEN!

I lift up the Deputy Governor, Prof. Kaletapwa Farauta, the executive members, and advisors to Governor Fintiri unto you Heavenly Father. I pray that the counsel of all these support members of the Fintiri led government will be effective and productive, resulting in human oriented policies and decisions leading the entire state toward unity, peace and prosperity. AMEN!
I pray that you would give the governor wisdom to surround himself with counselors who have our state’s best interest at heart. Grant them wisdom to advise him in the course of action he should take. I pray that you would surround him with sound, wise counsel to direct him as he leads the state. AMEN!

Almighty and Everlasting Father, I pray for the state Assembly as they make laws to govern our land and delegate state resources. Grant them wisdom to allocate our resources wisely. Please raise up people who will make laws to protect our freedoms, resources and the interest of all citizens so that we can live peaceful in dignity. Father, I pray also that you extend you mighty hands of favour upon our local council executives and their council, help them not to sabotage the good deeds and efforts of the governor and also deliver dividend to the people at the grassroot. AMEN!
“Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand.” – Matthew 12:15
With the general political climate throughout Nigeria, members of political parties and congress are fiercely divided into tribal and religious, unwilling to work together and compromise for the good of the people. I pray O’Lord against this divisiveness that plagues our land. I humbly plead that, by your mercy and miraculous power, let the members of assembly, politicians, civil servants and religious leaders put their agendas aside and work together in humility and harmony to serve for the good of our people. AMEN!
“He appointed judges in the land, in each of the fortified cities of Judah. He told them, ‘consider carefully what you do, because you are not judging for mere mortals but for the LORD, who is with you whenever you give a verdict. Now let the fear of the LORD be on you. Judge carefully, for with the LORD our God there is no injustice or partiality or bribery.’” – 2 Chronicles 19:5-7
Lord Jesus, You are the Righteous Judge who will judge the nations. I lift up our Judiciary and courts. I pray that our judges would judge rightly before you and uphold what is true. I pray for balanced judgment that upholds our constitution and the rule of law. Grant them divine wisdom to decipher what is right. AMEN!
Finally, As the court decides in the election petition of Adamawa State, Lord I pray, may evil not triumph over good and may the will and wish of the people never be trampled upon. AMEN!
Oh God My Father, I commit Governor Fintiri unto your hands, I pray that you uphold him and guide him all through his stewardship as governor of Adamawa State and beyond, protect him the claws and wraths of his enemies and enemies of the state, grant him new ideas for continuous execution of people-oriented governance. I pray that all things be to the glory of your name and the benefit of all people of Adamawa State in JESUS NAME. AMEN!
