Abdullahi Aliyu Jimeta, Yahaya Adamu, and Raymond Iliya all residents of Saminaka, Wurro Jebba, Damilu of Jimeta, and Yola North Local Government area of Adamawa State respectively raised an alarm about the influx of Almajiris who they have alleged coming from States of Kaduna, Borno, Jigawa where streets begging was barned.
Aliyu, Iliya, and Adamu in a separate interview with our correspondent in Yola said they are concerned citizens who are worried by the high influx of Adults, middle-aged, and Young (minor) Nigerians who are trooping into Adamawa State with no security checks on them.

Aliyu who is a resident of Saminaka, a suburb of Jimeta, the administrative and Capital base of the Adamawa government said the area is witnessing countless strange faces whose identities are unknown.
According to him Adamu who is a concerned citizen of Yola worried that the influx of the people is a serious security threat to the residents of Wurro Jebba and the entire state.
According to him, there’s a high level of crime in recent times. Cases of rapes, Shila Boys attacks innocents, and harmless individuals seizing their valuables are recorded in the state capital.
“The influx of these people is a serious security threat to our State, we want the government and all the security agencies to take note of what is going on in the state as a result of the influx of the Almajiris.
“I think the Government in Northern Nigeria should come up with a definite policy regards this Almajiris system of education, it’s resulting in social insecurity and ills affecting the lives of these Young Nigerians who are supposed to be in school receiving formal education.
“As I’m talking to you a few days ago in our area we found a dead Young Man who was suspected to be one of the Almajiris because his corpse was found dead with his begging plate on his Chest. It’s truly a pity and painful.” Adamu said
Raymond lamented that the security agencies are not doing the expected. He called on them to man all the borders and major roads coming from the neighboring states of Gombe, Borno, and Taraba.
“You need to see how lorries and long vehicles of different categories are pilling them into Adamawa daily from Kaduna, Borno where I was told they left because of street begging barning.
“Police, DSS, immigration, and even vigilantes groups should beef up security and keep their searchlight of fishing criminals on. Else the unthinkable will begin to happen in our State.” He said
Our Correspondent contacted the Adamawa State Police command, the command through its public relations officer DSP Suleiman Yahaya Ngoruje asked whether they were aware of the development. In his words, he reiterated that:
“We are monitoring everyone and the situation and assuring the people of Adamawa our maximum duty of protecting the lives and properties of all people.
“We will make sure criminals are sieve and fetch out from those coming from various states”
