In quiet moments of reflection, when the world pauses to honor a life wholly dedicated to the service of God, we lift our hearts in gratitude and solemn prayer for the world’s longest-running televangelist, Evangelist Jimmy Swaggart, who, at over 90 years of age, now fights for his life following a cardiac arrest on Sunday, June 15, 2025.
The news, shattering in its weight, reached us during our Sunday service, casting a shadow of sorrow over the global body of Christ.
Yet, even in this moment of uncertainty, we stand united in faith, giving thanks to Almighty God for a life so profoundly impactful, a beacon of divine light that has illuminated millions of souls across the globe.

This past March, we celebrated Brother Jimmy’s 90th birthday—a global event that resounded with joy and gratitude. From Baton Rouge to the farthest corners of the earth, believers gathered to honor a man whose tireless work for the Kingdom of God has left an indelible mark on humanity.
Today, as he lies in the Critical Care Unit, we cling to the promises of our Healer, Jesus Christ, praying for an uncommon, miraculous healing, if it be God’s perfect will. We love him dearly, and our hearts ache for his recovery, yet we rest in the sovereignty of our Lord.

For over seven decades, Jimmy Swaggart’s ministry has been a cornerstone of hope, a clarion call to salvation, and the transformative power of the Word of God.
Through Jimmy Swaggart Ministries and the Son Life Broadcasting Network, his fiery preaching and soul-stirring gospel music have reached homes, prisons, hospitals, and hearts, drawing millions to the foot of the Cross.
His teachings, particularly The Message of the Cross, have been a spiritual lifeline for countless believers, including myself.
I am eternally blessed to be a beneficiary of his anointed ministry, which has deepened my faith and anchored my soul in the truth of Christ’s redemptive work. Like me, millions testify to the eternal impact of his unwavering commitment to preaching the undiluted words of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Brother Jimmy’s life is a tapestry woven with passion, sacrifice, and an unrelenting love for Jesus. From his humble beginnings in Ferriday, Louisiana, to the global stage, he has remained a faithful steward of God’s call.
Even through personal trials, he rose with humility, his iconic “I have sinned” confession in 1988 revealing a heart that sought God’s forgiveness and grace
His music—those timeless gospel melodies—has lifted spirits, while his sermons have convicted hearts and won souls for the Kingdom.

His resilience has taught us that God’s mercy is greater than our failures, and His purpose prevails through yielded vessels.
As we pray for Brother Jimmy, we also lift up his remarkable family, particularly his steadfast partner, Mrs. Frances Swaggart, whose indefatigable spirit and unwavering support have been the backbone of this ministry.
To Frances, their son Donnie Swaggart, and the entire Swaggart family, we extend our love and prayers, trusting that the God of comfort will uphold them in this trying hour.
In this moment, we do not mourn as those without hope, for Jimmy Swaggart’s legacy is eternal. His work for the Kingdom continues to bear fruit, and his voice, though now silent in the pulpit, echoes through the lives he has touched.

To the global Church, I say: Let us continue to intercede for this general of the faith. Let us honor his legacy by living out The Message of the Cross, sharing the Gospel, and walking in holiness.
And to Brother Jimmy, if these words reach your spirit: We love you, we thank you, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting our Great Physician for your healing. His legacies live for ever in our hearts and the beloved Church, SBN/ FAMIILY WORSHIP CENTRE.
