Not less than thirteen (13) awaiting inmates escaped from a jail break situated at koton karfe local government area of kogi state as at the early hours of Saturday the 30th July 2016 at about 7:am.
Information reaching Daily Hint was that the jail break was a collective effort by the inmates to pull down the Fence to pave way for escape.
Information gathered by Daily Hint was that the acclaimed prison has the capacity of containing or accommodation only 180 inmates but the Negligence, i don’t care attitude, depriving of Fundamental human right and the promotion of anarchy, the judges and the state comptroller of the prison service went ahead and muddle 263 inmates against the specified Numbered.
This led to the combination of criminality to end up at breaking and escaping.
Another vital information gathered by Daily Hint was that, this jail break was the third times such situation took place at the same prison.
Daily Hint uncovered that same took place in 2010 and 20 13 that led to the escape of 132 inmates of which majority are awaiting trials.
