The All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamawa State Chapter has strongly condemned the violent attack on Comrade Salihu Mustapha PhD, the National Vice Chairman North East, by thugs posing as delegates during the APC North East Consultative Forum held in Gombe on June 15, 2025.

In a press release issued today, the state chapter described the act of thuggery as deplorable and urged Nigerians to disregard it as unrelated to the objectives of the meeting.

The statement, e-signed by State Chairman Barr. Idris Shuaibu, reaffirmed the chapter’s unwavering support for the communique presented by Comrade Mustapha, which endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the APC’s sole candidate for the 2027 presidential nomination.

We wish to make it clear that the act perpetrated by the thugs at the venue has nothing to do with the said meeting and should be discountenanced by all right-thinking and well-meaning Nigerians

The communique, according to the APC Adamawa State Chapter, reflects the unified stance of the APC Governors Forum, National Assembly members, National Working Committee, and the entire Adamawa State party structure.

The chapter emphasized that the attack should not distract from the party’s commitment to President Tinubu’s leadership and vision.

“We wish to make it clear that the act perpetrated by the thugs at the venue has nothing to do with the said meeting and should be discountenanced by all right-thinking and well-meaning Nigerians,” the statement read.
