Tinubu Appoints Prof. Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu as New PTDF Executive Secretary

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Professor Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu as the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF).

Prof. Aliyu succeeds Ahmed Galadima Aminu, who stepped down from the position to pursue his ambition to contest the 2027 gubernatorial election in Adamawa State.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, is expected to bring fresh academic and technical expertise to the PTDF, a key agency responsible for building indigenous capacity in the oil and gas sector through training, research and technology transfer.

Further details on the appointment and the formal handover process are expected from the Presidency in the coming days.
