Tinubu, Ramaphosa Unites, Vows to Boost Trade and Investment

Presidents Bola Tinubu of Nigeria and Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between their countries. In a meeting held in Cape Town, the two leaders agreed to accelerate key elements of the Bi-National Commission, particularly in the 34 Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) areas.

These areas include Aviation, Telecommunications, Digital Economy, renewable energy, Financial Services, and Green Hydrogen. The presidents emphasized the importance of expanding investment and trade relations between Nigeria and South Africa, recognizing that this cooperation is crucial for powering Africa forward.

This commitment marks a significant milestone in the relationship between the two nations, which have enjoyed 30 years of diplomatic relations since 1994.

The meeting is a testament to the strong historical ties between Nigeria and South Africa, which date back to the struggles against colonialism and apartheid.
