President Ahmed Bola Tinubu has assured Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, of his continued support even after leaving office.
At the wedding of Akume’s nephew, Pharmacist Henry Akume, in Makurdi, President Tinubu praised Akume’s dedication and focus. Represented by National Security Adviser Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Tinubu described Akume as an eminent personality with an impressive career.
“Sen. Akume is my friend, colleague, and brother,” Tinubu said. “We will stand by him and continue to support him.”

Tinubu also urged Nigerians to remain patient, promising improved well-being and accelerated development.
Deputy Senate President Sen. Barau and Governor Sule of Nassarawa State praised Akume as an uncommon leader deserving of support.
The SGF thanked President Tinubu and guests, promising not to disappoint.
Dignitaries in attendance included former ministers, governors, current governors, captains of industry, and diplomatic corps.
