Atiku Abubakar has strongly condemned President Bola Tinubu’s government for its treatment of malnourished children who were arraigned before a Federal High Court. The disturbing video, reminiscent of a Nazi concentration camp, highlights the government’s disregard for vulnerable lives, especially children.
According to reports, these children were allegedly involved in the #EndBadGovernance protests and have been subjected to dehumanizing conditions during their three-month detention. Section 11 of the Child’s Rights Act guarantees every child’s dignity, prohibiting physical, mental, or emotional injury, abuse, neglect, or maltreatment
Children, most affected by harsh policies, have the right to peaceful protest as guaranteed by the Constitution and Child Rights Act
Atiku expressed dismay at President Tinubu’s stance, having previously fought for democracy and led protests. “Children, most affected by harsh policies, have the right to peaceful protest as guaranteed by the Constitution and Child Rights Act”
Peter Obi and Kwankwaso joined Atiku in condemning the arrest and maltreatment of minors by the Tinubu government. This incident underscores the nation’s treatment of its most vulnerable citizens.
