‘Together as one people’: Brilliant Fulani girl changing the narrative, makes waves in Delta

The Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Council, Hon. Onoriode Ofoni area of Delta State, JP, has recognized Miss Ummul-khairi Ibrahim’s exceptional talent with a generous award package on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

The Primary 5 pupil of David Ejoor Primary School, Effurun Barracks, Delta State who presented a poem, titled ‘Together as one people” at the palace of the Ovie of Uvwie, received ?50,000 cash, school wears, learning materials and a maintenance plan for her academic welfare.

Hon. Ofoni, while speaking to the pupil’s parents at the Uvwie Secretariat stated that he was committed to empowering young minds and supporting academic excellence in Uvwie Local Government Area.

The council boss named Miss Ummul-khairi, ‘Efe’, stating that she was now an Uvwie indigene, advising her to take her studies seriously and keep up the good work.

The father of Miss Ummul-khairi, Mallam Ibrahim, represented by his brother due to his medical condition, appreciated Hon. Ofoni for his kind gesture towards his daughter. (Text, excluding headline: Delta State News Bulletin)
