Theses two years Sees State Rising from Ashes of Despair, Adorned with Fruits of Purposeful Governance, Says Garba

By Emmanuel Kwada
Mr. Tom Garba, has described Senator Uba Sani, Executive Governor of Kaduna State, as “one of the best governors” in a glowing tribute marking the governor’s two-year anniversary in office.
In a heartfelt statement, Garba lauded Sani’s visionary leadership, declaring that his “vision, courage, and unwavering commitment” have redefined the trajectory of Kaduna State, transforming it into a beacon of progress and hope.

“Fellow citizens of Kaduna State, today we stand at the threshold of history, marking two remarkable years of leadership under His Excellency, Senator Uba Sani,” Garba wrote. “As a citizen of Kaduna State, it is both an honour and a privilege to pen this tribute to a man who has become a builder of bridges and a champion of progress.”
Since assuming office on May 29, 2023, Governor Uba Sani has spearheaded a transformative agenda that has reshaped Kaduna’s landscape. Garba highlighted the governor’s rural and urban development projects, including the rehabilitation of roads, schools, and healthcare facilities, as emblematic of Sani’s commitment to restoring dignity and fostering economic vitality.

The ongoing Kaduna Urban Renewal Project, particularly the modernization of key infrastructure in the state capital, has not only eased transportation but also elevated Kaduna’s profile as a hub of progress, earning praise from stakeholders across the state.
“Your Excellency, you are one of the best governors if I should make a choice,” Garba declared, emphasizing Sani’s ability to deliver “gigantic projects” despite economic challenges. “The past 24 months have been a testament to a leadership style that blends pragmatism with passion, touching every corner of Kaduna, from the vibrant markets of Zaria to the serene communities of Kagarko.”

Sani’s administration has also been hailed for its inclusive governance and focus on peace-building. His engagement with diverse communities across Kaduna’s multi-ethnic and multi-religious landscape, coupled with initiatives to strengthen local governance, has empowered marginalized groups, giving them a voice in the state’s development.

Garba echoed the sentiments of community leaders who have described Sani as a “unifier” who has worked tirelessly to foster peace and reconciliation in a state once plagued by conflict. These efforts, Garba noted, reflect a leader who risks all to protect the mandate entrusted to him by the people.
Beyond infrastructure and inclusivity, Sani’s humility and dedication have set him apart. A leader grounded in faith, the governor has prioritized service over extravagance, opting for reflection and community engagement during milestones.
“His call for unity over division reveals a leader grounded in the values of stewardship and accountability,” Garba wrote, likening Sani to the Biblical King Solomon for his pursuit of wisdom in leadership.

As Kaduna marks this milestone, Garba called on all citizens, including those in the diaspora, to heed Sani’s call to action and contribute to building a state where “opportunities abound, peace reigns, and progress is shared by all.” He urged Kaduna residents to see the anniversary as a charge to “do more, serve more, and unite more.”

The tribute concluded with a salute to Sani’s unwavering commitment to Kaduna’s collective destiny. “Your record of achievements speaks louder than any accolade,” Garba wrote. “The roads you have rehabilitated, the schools you have rebuilt, and the hope you have restored are the true eulogies of your tenure.
Happy two-year anniversary, Your Excellency. Kaduna celebrates you, and TGNews stands with you as partners in this historic journey.”
