The Former Governor of Adamawa state, Rt Hon Bala James Ngilari worried over the bedevilling state of Insecurity, called on Government at all levels to face it squarely with all honesty.
Ngilari said though his tenure while the Governor of the state has tried in the area of security by engaging the youths in skills acquisition for them to be self reliant.
According to him government at all levels should focus on genuine youth empowerment programs that can enable them start up their own businesses.
He enjoined the youths not to rely on Government jobs as the Government can never employ everyone considering the rate of unemployment in the country.
James in a town Hall meeting in Yola fielded question from Journalists whose central message was a called for unity and peaceful coexistence among the people of Adamawa state.
“The issues of security should be faced squarely with all honesty as no development can occur in crises. The new service chief should be given the benefit of doubt and all necessary support.” He said
James continued to say that the security challenges in Adamawa State like Shila boys and herders farmers crises can be curbed if the youths are gainfully engaged and all stakeholders cooperate to bring about lasting solutions.
On political ambitions he said “ by divine direction when the time is right i will listen to the voice of the people “ but for now we the APC family are working towards our congresses and building a formidable party.
If the APC do the right things at all levels the party will be sure to return to power and regain Adamawa State come 2023
