The Adamawa Chapter of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, has written a petition to the Tribunal in the state challenging the authenticity of the Governorship election that brought in Rt Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as the substantive Governor.
The SDP Governorship Candidate, Dr Umar Ardo has petitioned the independent National electoral commission (INEC) to the Adamawa State Election Tribunal to response to either the harassment of government officials, DSS and other election agents have marred the sanctity of the election.
Dr Ardo prayed in the petition that the Tribunal should Set aside the result declared announcing Fintiri winner and Order INEC to conduct fresh election.
The SDP petition on the Governorship Election Tribunal has subpoenaed Hudu, Zuru and Suleiman to appear before it and give testimony in the petition filed by the SDP Gubernatorial candidate in the state, Dr. Umar Ardo.
In the petition No: ETP/ AD/GOV/02/2023, the Subpoena Order signed by the Chairperson of the tribunal was addressed to them through the leadership of their respective institutions.
