Troops Nab Notorious TikTok Bandit ‘Sule Yellow’ After Ransom Collection

Nigerian military forces have arrested a suspected bandit popularly known online as Sule Yellow, who operated under the TikTok handle @suleyellow6, in a targeted intelligence-led operation, multiple reports and social media posts confirmed on March 16, 2026.

The arrest occurred shortly after Sule Yellow allegedly collected ransom payment from the family of a kidnapped victim. Security operatives tracked his movements and apprehended him while he was en route following the transaction. His TikTok account has since been disabled by authorities, rendering it inaccessible.

Sule Yellow gained notoriety for brazenly flaunting ransom proceeds and bandit activities during live streams on the platform.

As recently as March 4, 2026, he appeared in a livestream alongside fellow suspect Auta and others, openly displaying their operations and proceeds in what many described as provocative displays of criminality.

Videos and images circulating online from the arrest show the suspect in custody, appearing visibly distressed and trembling  a stark contrast to the confident persona he projected online. Sources describe him as “fidgeting and shaking,” unable to speak coherently upon capture, highlighting the shift from digital bravado to real-world vulnerability.

The operation underscores ongoing efforts by the Nigerian military to dismantle bandit networks that have terrorized communities through kidnappings for ransom.

Social media users and commentators have praised the troops for their swift action, with many calling it a “commendable effort” in combating insecurity.

While no official detailed statement from the military has been released as of this report, the arrest has been widely shared across different platforms with posts hailing the troops and expressing relief over the takedown of a figure who openly mocked victims’ suffering.
