Troops of 6 Brigade Arrest Suspected Kidnapper’s Informant, Recover AK-47 Rifle and Vehicle in Separate Operations

In a series of successful military operations, troops of 6 Brigade/Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) have apprehended a suspected kidnapper’s informant, recovered an AK-47 rifle, and a vehicle in two separate operations aimed at curbing crime within Taraba State.

On September 6, 2024, troops arrested Miss Markus Grace, a suspected kidnapper’s informant, in Sondi village of Wukari LGA, Taraba State.

She was found to be aiding kidnappers and criminal elements in the area and is also believed to be the girlfriend of a notorious kidnapper named Chen.

 

In a separate operation on September 5, 2024, troops recovered an AK-47 rifle, an AK47 magazine, and two identity cards from a suspicious vehicle abandoned by its driver in Bantaje town of Wukari LGA.

The Brigade remains committed to maintaining peace and security and has a zero-tolerance stance against all forms of criminality within Taraba State and its environs

The Commander of 6 Brigade, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, commended the troops for their professionalism and swift action, urging residents to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely information to prevent and combat criminal activities.
