In a startling revelation, Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has claimed that U.S. President Donald Trump harbors a personal dislike for Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, a tension that could be exploited by a political coalition aiming to undermine Tinubu’s leadership.

The prophecy, detailed in Ayodele’s latest book, Warnings to the Nations (2025/2026), launched on July 5, 2025, suggests a brewing international dimension to Nigeria’s 2027 election landscape.

Ayodele warned that the opposition coalition, now aligned with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), may use America’s influence as a strategic weapon against Tinubu’s second-term ambitions.

He cited Trump’s alleged reluctance to engage Nigeria diplomatically—highlighted by the country’s exclusion from a recent U.S.-Africa summit—as evidence of strained relations. “The American government is ganging up against his second-term ambition,” Ayodele stated, urging Tinubu to brace for foreign interference.

The claim follows reports of Nigeria’s absence from a July 9 White House meeting where Trump will host leaders from Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mauritania, and Senegal to discuss commercial ties. Critics, including opposition figures, have labeled this snub a blow to Nigeria’s diplomatic stature under Tinubu. However, official statements from both the U.S. and Nigerian governments have not confirmed any personal animosity, with a recent Paris meeting between Tinubu and Trump’s advisor, Massad Boulos, focusing on economic and security partnerships.

Ayodele also cautioned Tinubu about internal threats, predicting a potential coup attempt if he secures a second term, fueled by paid military officers and political betrayals.

He advised vigilance against security operatives and a reevaluation of party strategies ahead of the 2027 polls. The cleric’s assertions have sparked debate, with some viewing them as spiritual insight, while others question their basis amid a lack of concrete evidence.
