In a bold move, US President-elect Donald Trump has issued an ultimatum to the BRICS countries, warning them against attempting to replace the US dollar with an alternative currency. Trump stated that the idea of BRICS countries moving away from the dollar while the US stands by and watches is “OVER”.
Trump demanded a commitment from these countries that they will neither create a new BRICS currency nor back any other currency to replace the US dollar. Failure to comply will result in 100% tariffs, and Trump warned that these countries should expect to say goodbye to selling into the US economy.
