Uba/Gaya inconclusive elections holds 23rd March says INEC

While given a breakdown of successful political parties contested in the twenty nineteen general elections in the state. Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Adamawa revealed that the Nassarawo Binyeri State Constituency election and the inconclusive Governorship of Uba/Gaya State Constituency elections will hold on the twenty third of this month.

The State Resident Electoral Commissioner Barrister Kassim Gana Gaidam gave the breakdown Thursday during a press conference held at the Conference Hall of the State Headquarters of INEC in Yola.

Barrister Gaidam disclosed that the Peoples Democratic Party PDP has won two senatorial seats of Northern and Southern Zones while All Progressives Congress APC clinched the Central Senatorial seat.

He further said that the results of the House of Representatives election indicates that the eight seats were shared by APC and PDP each winning four slots respectively.

The results of the State Assembly election show that APC and PDP each won eleven seats while the African Democratic Congress ADC won one seat.

He also revealed that the Governorship Supplementary election will take place in the forty four polling units where election were cancelled and polls will start by eight o’clock in the morning and closed by two in the afternoon.

He also reiterated that INEC will continue to act within the law in the discharge of it’s responsibilities to engender free, fair and credible elections.
