The Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, officially launched the Rev. Bulus Zira Filli Foundation on Saturday, celebrating the legacy of the late revered Christian cleric. The event took place during a book launch where she emphasized the importance of unity among Christians across Nigeria.
Speaking at the occasion in Michika, Professor Farauta reflected on the unifying love of Jesus Christ, urging attendees to set aside their differences for the greater good of the gospel and community welfare. “I want to thank the family of Filli that brought us together to remember the good works of late Rev. Zira. We have lived as one family because of the love of Christ,” she said, her voice resonating with emotion.

She expressed her hope that the newly established foundation would nurture and raise a new generation of committed Christians. “My prayer for this foundation is to raise children that would be like Baba Filli,” she added passionately.
The foundation is dedicated to empowering young leaders in the Christian faith, aiming to foster a spirit of cooperation among churches to promote both national and religious unity.

At the heart of the event was the launch of the book titled *Late Rev Bulus Zira Filli: Storied Life of Storied Impacts*, authored by Rev. Yola Ranjiya. Book reviewer Joseph Kwaji shared insights into the illustrious life of the late cleric, highlighting his pioneering efforts in evangelism that began in 1951 with the establishment of a mission center in Borno State, which now stands as the first missionary center for the ‘Kamwe’ communities.
Kwaji described the 200-page book, consisting of 12 chapters, as a testament to the core values of the EYN Church, to which Rev. Filli belonged. The book was dedicated by the EYN President, Rev. Dr. Daniel Mbaya, who was represented at the event by the church’s vice president, Rev. Nuhu Abba.
The ceremony not only commemorated Rev. Filli’s contributions to the Christian community but also sought to inspire a collective effort to strengthen ties among churches in Nigeria, paving the way for a more harmonious future for both faith and nation.
