In a powerful display of unity and respect, Hon. Peace Samson Audu, the only female Local Government Chairperson in Adamawa State from Fufore LGA, led a significant Sallah homage to Her Excellency, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri, at the Government House in Yola.
The visit, marked by warmth and mutual admiration, underscored the growing influence of women in leadership across the state.

Hon. Peace Samson described the meeting as a source of inspiration, emphasizing her desire to learn from the First Lady’s exemplary leadership. “The way you’re touching lives across all corners of Adamawa State is something I deeply admire. I want to learn from you, Ma,” she said with heartfelt sincerity.
In her response, Hajiya Lami Fintiri urged the Chairperson to lead with integrity and humility. “You are not just a Chairperson; you are a symbol of possibility for every woman in this state. Remain transparent, stay grounded, and always put God first,” she advised, highlighting the weight of responsibility carried by women in leadership.
In a related gesture of solidarity, Vice Chairpersons from all 21 Local Government Areas, predominantly women, also paid a Sallah homage to the First Lady at her official residence, J1, in the Government House.
Leading the delegation, Hon. Sarah Nathan, Vice Chairperson of Yola North, praised Hajiya Lami’s inclusive leadership.
“This is the first time in Adamawa’s history that a First Lady is carrying everyone along. Your commitment to grassroots leaders, especially women, is unprecedented,” she remarked.
The visits culminated in a private, hours-long closed-door meeting, where discussions focused on advancing women’s leadership and community development initiatives. The gatherings signal a new era of collaboration and empowerment for women in Adamawa’s political landscape.
