The Executive Governor Taraba state Arch Darius Dickson Ishaku has express worry over the incessant conflicts between Jukun and Tiv people in Taraba and Benue states.
A statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Media and Publicity Bala Dan Abu says the latest of such conflict occurred in Kente, a border community in Taraba State last weekend.
It urges the residents of the border communities to live together in peace and harmony in order to attract government amenities that will make life easier for them.
The statement says the frequent conflicts can only lead to disruption of economic activities and aggravate poverty and hunger.
Governor Darius Ishaku advises the Jukuns and TIV to protect their communities against any form of threat to peace in their domain.
