Unknown Gunmen on Friday invaded the Residence of Zonal Chairman of MiyettiAllah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria Southern Senatorial Zone of Adamawa Alhaji Sa`idu Sale Kolaku and shot him to death.
The State Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Association, Muhammad Jika Buba who disclosed this to Nigerian Tribune reporter in a telephone interview said the unknown Gunmen carrying dangerous weapons stormed the residence of the deceased around twelve midnight at Sabon Begi Mayo Belwa and killed.
The PRO revealed that the death of their leader is connected to myriads of achievements in arresting kidnappers and cattle rustlers.
He opined that the death of Sale was clear fight back from the men of under world terrorising the people of southern senatorial zone as kidnappers for money.
Jika further said that the Police command in Adamawa because of kolaku’s dexterity, curbing and halting armed banditry by helping the police has on 17th July, 2019 recognised him as one of the “gallant” fighter of banditry bedeviling the state.
“Our leader is killed because of fighting all sorts of crime, ranging from Boko Haram,cattle rustlers and most importantly kidnappers who their menace work is prevalent in recent time in the state.” Jika said
He also worried that the death of their leader has created a huge gap that the issue of insecurity in the southern part of the state is under a serious threat.
“I want to tell you that we are all not safe,our people from Mayobelwa,Numan and Demsa are living in the state of despair because they succeeded in killing the warrior defending our territories.” He added
He continue to say that Kola was under the surveillance of the suspected killers,has on many occasion he received death warnings by the killers if he does not desist from fighting them.
“Believe you me I’m just wondering how our people will be safe and go about their normal business in life if the securities in the state are not forth coming to protect life and property in our areas.
” The fact still remain the fact that crime has drastically reduced to the barest minimum while our leader is alive,now that is not alive I’m now engrossed with great fears.
“Some of our traditional leaders,people have raised concern over the death of this great man of our time.” He said
According to him Sa’idu until his death, Alhaji sa`idu has been complementing the efforts of security agents in the fight against Kidnappers in Adamawa which earn him an award of recognition by Adamawa state Police Commissioner.
When contacted, the Adamawa state Police Command Public relations officer PPRO Sulaiman Yahya Guroje confirmed the incidence saying that the police are investigating the matter.
