Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University, Kashere, Gombe, Prof. Umaru Pate; Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Mohammed Ali Pate; former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Others are Prof Akinjide Osuntokun, Former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany; Louis Nnamdi Mbanefo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and Maritime Law expert; Prof. Adesola Adeniyi, Secretary, Nigeria Academy of Medicine; Bashorun Jaiye Kofolaran Randle, Prof. Baba Yusuf Abubakar, Prof. Jibrila Dahiru Amin, Prof. Ruqayyatu Ahmed Rufai and Prof. Christian Happi.

The Role Model Award is organised every year by the Hallmark of Labour Foundation (HLF), to recognise and celebrate Nigerians, Africans and other people of the Black race who have achieved success through hard work, honesty, integrity and justice in every field of human endeavour. The overall goal is to use the achievements of these Role Models and their legacies as examples to educate Nigerians that success through genuine Labour is more rewarding and fulfilling and therefore encourage positive attitudes among Africans, especially the youth to shun dishonesty and fraud as a means of achieving success.

According to the event card made available to Prime Business Africa, it will take place on Saturday 20 April (today), at Grand Ball-Room, Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island at 4 pm.

Chairman of the occasion is Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Secretary General of the Commonwealth, while Dr Christopher Kolade is the Chief Host. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu will be a special guest of honour at the event.
