Madagali Local Government is the origin of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri who was a lawmaker for two conservative terms and grew to be a Majority Leader, Deputy Speaker, speaker, acting Governor and today is a substantial and elected Executive Governor of the state.
Despite this excellent and political feats of Governor Ahmadu, he seems to be losing grip over the control of the politics of the local government as narrated by Gadzama.
As a sitting Governor, Ahmadu lost great politicians of PDP to APC like Former Governor Bala James Ngilari, his close friend, Alhaji Chubado Babbi Tijjani,and a host of many others who deserted him to APC, the opposition party.

” It’s a whole lot of concern to his personality, if he can afford to lose a single political figure to another camp despite his political pedigree. I foresee a great danger for him, unless he decided to come to terms with reality, then he can be able to address the whole issue to his favor.” Aminu said
Losing control of the political affairs of Madagali by Fintiri has been narrowed down to PDP, his party when three persons went against his wish to obtained expression of interest and nomination forms for the House of Assembly seat despite given a standing order that only the incumbent member should buy the form.
A reliable source hinted this medium that Haruna Jilantikiri who is a serving member and a cousin Brother of the Governor is the most preferred candidate is having his jugular fiercely being munched down by Aliyu Isa Wakilamtu, a Younger Brother to the Adamawa first lady, Hajiya Lami Fintiri , and the only political orphan among them Abubakar Dubu Barde is a possible crisis that will rock down the PDP which Fintiri may not be able to resolve.
The gross interest of Aliyu and Haruna, a Madagali concerned Youth, Mr. Ijabula Gadzama said the family affairs arrangement over the State House of Assembly seat may consume the PDP party in the entire Madagali local government area.
“For God’s sake, how can we be slaves in our own Father’s Land? Governor Fintiri Family members have vowed to control us, he is the Governor and the House of Assembly seat that ought to be given out to others, they are now trying to corner it to themselves by fire by force, to either go to his Cousin Brother (Haruna) or his Brother In-law (Aliyu), then tell me how can PDP sway up support?” Gadzama said
To Gar Ijaduwa Hyeriju, a PDP Man from Gulak Town said if the is the case in this scenario, that Governor Ahmadu should be fair to all aspirants and allow the PDP members in Madagali through a free and fair primary election decide their candidate.
He called on the Governor not to impose any person on them as it has a way of dampening down his political antecedents.
Gar said the Governor should allow Hon. Abubakar barde Duhu, and Mr. Aliyu Wakilamtu to slug it out at the primary with Haruna on a free and fair basis that will give him much loyalty whoever turns out to win at the primaries.
He blamed the Governor for not taking control of the party right at the inception, and his political image is being marked ugly by the scary marks of unpopularity if party men will go against his wish over a mere house ticket.
” I’m assuring you if imposition is going to take the center stage of the coming State house of assembly primary many people will dump PDP to APC. I understand that the Governor might not be aware of certain political skirmishes going on as some people close to him are using that advantage to destroy our party with imposition. This is what we can’t take.
“The Governor should be seen a Father to all people, since he has failed to control the party to the level of gaining people total loyalty that whatever he says stands, then he should be seen a role model and a leader that is called to show justice to all party men,” Gar said
The quagmire in PDP over clashes of interest by three aspirants of Governor Fintiri’s Cousin Brother, his Brother In-law may dash the faith of Ahmadu as a perceived sympathy is seems to go to Barde who is a political orphan in Madagali, and under normal circumstances, delegates are being canvased to support him because of the established sharing formula arrangement.
