In his passion to give quality representation to the people of Gombi/Hong Federal constituency area of Adamawa state,the Lawmaker representing the area,Hon Yusuf Captain Buba Yakubu in a week long health-intervention programme provided medical services to hundreds of his constituents.
The Programme which he tagged “visions for all by the year 2020″ is a collaboration efforts of the duo Offices of Yusuf as a federal legislative and the Captain Buba Yakub Foundation which targeted free medical attention and recommended glasses to over three thousand sufferers (3000) of various eye diseases,including those requiring surgical attention.
Yakubu through the consultating services of an Abuja-based technical partner,International Centre for Vision and Healthcare led by Dr Chioma Ojigwe revealed his commitment to be showing welfare concern to the people that voted him to power.
” I am most humbled by your love and continuous support for me these past years and I promise that together we shall do better .This is just the beginning of greater days ahead and together we will make Gombi/Hong greater.” He said
The December,2019 programme witnessed a lot of visitors and APC stakeholders formed part of the prominent mammoth crowd in attendance.
Commenting on the intervention health programme,Mr Semete Helma,Director -General, Yusuf Captain Buba Campaign Organisation thanked the Constituents for yet again demonstrating their belief and confidence in Rep.Buba and his vision for their Constituency. While promising to always be with the people, Helma said the Gombi/Hong Rep. was a promise- keeper who will always keep the pact he made with the people.
Others who spoke at the occasion include the APC Chairman, Hong Local Government Area,Mr Bako Walya,who described Hon. Buba as a politician with no barrier of Party,religion or tribe,who has shown that everyone matters in the scheme of things. He called on the people to support the lawmaker to do more for them and for the State.
Among those who were present were the Project Coordinator, Hon. Dauda Kushu,Executive Director, Captain Buba Yakub Foundation, Hajara Jalo and many other renowned politicians ,religious and traditional leaders,who all bared their minds on the positive impacts Hon.Buba,who is Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, is making both in the House and in his home Constituency.
In a press release signed by Nkem Anyata- Lafia,Senior Assistant to Buba on Media and Public Affairs to read that all beneficiaries spoken to at the programme, including young Ayuba Maiya,who was operated on,thanked Hon. Buba and his Foundation for the gift of “a better sight”.
