The All Progressives Congress (APC) has postponed the official unveiling of former Borno State Governor Kashim Shetima as the running mate to its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.
Kashim Shettima was scheduled to be presented to party members at the APC national Secretariat on Thursday.
However, the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress Press Corp told reporters that the event has been moved forward.
He stated that a new date would be announced soon and the date would probably be sometime next week.
He explained that the directive for the postponement was given by the party’s Deputy National Secretary.
There was no reason given for the decision which comes amid controversies over the choice of a Muslim-Muslim ticket by the party.
Many Nigerians, including members of the ruling party are opposed to Muslim-Muslim ticket. Some members of the party have even dumped the party of the development.
