Vunobolki Donates ₦10 Million, Seeks Religious Unity, Inclusive Governance in Adamawa

PDP gubernatorial aspirant, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, has intensified his consultation drive by interfacing with major religious bodies in Adamawa State, as he donated a total of ₦10 million to promote unity, peace, and inclusive governance ahead of the 2027 elections.

On Monday, April 27, 2026, Chief Vunobolki paid high-level visits to the Adamawa State Muslim Council and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Adamawa State Chapter, where he presented his gubernatorial ambition and sought the blessings and support of religious leaders.

At the Adamawa State Muslim Council in Yola, Vunobolki emphasized the importance of starting his political journey with spiritual guidance from key religious stakeholders. He pledged to uphold transparency, fairness, and equality for all citizens if elected governor.

The Chairman of the Muslim Council, Mallam Gambo M. Jika, warmly received the aspirant, describing him as “a son of the council” and a man of proven integrity.

He commended Vunobolki’s past contributions as Coordinator of the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project (MCRP), offered prayers for the success of his ambition, and pledged the council’s support.

Later in the day, Vunobolki visited the CAN Secretariat in Yola, where he was received by the Chairman, Rev. Dr. Joel Danjuma Manzo, and other senior church leaders.

Rev. Manzo praised Vunobolki’s humanitarian leadership and the transformative impact of the MCRP across communities. He highlighted the aspirant’s transparency, compassion, and dedication to public service.

In his remarks at both meetings, Chief Vunobolki described the engagements as a “homecoming” and reiterated his commitment to ethnic and religious tolerance, equitable representation, and inclusive governance that serves all citizens of Adamawa, irrespective of faith or background.

To support the activities of the two bodies, Vunobolki donated ₦5 million each to the Adamawa State Muslim Council and the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), bringing the total donation to ₦10 million.

Concluding his busy day, the PDP aspirant attended the kick-off of the Bishop Stephen Dami Mamza Football Competition at St. Peter Minor Seminary, Yola.

The tournament, which featured a match between teams from Gombi and Mayo Belwa Catholic Deaneries, was described by organizers as a testament to Vunobolki’s commitment to youth development and sports.

The series of engagements have been viewed as a strategic move by the aspirant to build broad-based support across religious lines, with unity, peace, and inclusive governance emerging as the central themes of his campaign.

Religious leaders at both fora urged Vunobolki to remain steadfast in his vision for a united and progressive Adamawa State.
