In a powerful display of solidarity, Christian youth stakeholders in Adamawa State have launched a transformative movement to unite communities, reject divisive politics, and champion progress ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Under the banner of faith and shared purpose, the group is calling for an end to religious and ethnic fragmentation, urging all Christians to rally behind leaders who prioritize collective well-being.
“We are stronger together,” said Elder Mark Wosi, Program Convener, at a press conference in Yola. “Our unity is our greatest asset in building a future rooted in harmony and progress. We reject any politicization of religion or ethnicity and call on all Adamawa citizens to stand as one.”

The movement emphasizes collaboration across political, religious, and ethnic lines, highlighting the historical benefits of unity among Christians, Muslims, and diverse ethnic groups, including the Fulani. “Together, we thrive; divided, we falter,” Wosi declared, urging citizens to support leaders who embody inclusivity and competence, regardless of party affiliation.
A key focus of the initiative is mobilizing Christian communities to participate in the political process. With the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) set to begin voter registration and issuance of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), the group is encouraging eligible voters to secure their PVCs and engage actively in shaping the state’s future.

“Ballot papers do not label voters by faith or ethnicity, nor should our choices,” Wosi emphasized.
The movement also underscored the urgency of unity in addressing insecurity, a pressing challenge in Adamawa and beyond. Insurgent activities and instability threaten community stability, making collective action a necessity. “Unity is not just an ideal; it is our shield against the forces that seek to destabilize us,” Wosi said.
At the heart of the movement is a call to support His Excellency Atiku Abubakar GCON (Waziri Adamawa), a prominent son of Adamawa and a leading contender for the presidency in 2027.

Celebrated for his commitment to national cohesion and progressive leadership, Atiku is seen as a unifying figure who transcends religious and tribal divides. “His Excellency’s vision for inclusivity is what Nigeria needs,” Wosi stated. “We are mobilizing support from his home state to propel him to the presidency.”
The Christian youth stakeholders are urging all Adamawa citizens to view this movement as a transformative opportunity to amplify their collective voice. By forging alliances across political parties, they aim to create a formidable coalition dedicated to progress and community welfare.

The group also called on younger generations to reject the divisive tactics of aging politicians, warning that “posterity will not forgive us if we allow discord to take root.”
As Adamawa looks to the future, the message is clear: unity, faith, and purposeful action will define the state’s path forward. “Let us build bridges, promote understanding, and ensure our voices resonate in the corridors of power,” Wosi concluded. “Together, we can achieve remarkable things.”
