During a replacement swearing-in ceremony for the vacant positions of Adamawa All Progressives Congress (APC) following the resignation of Hajiya Hauwa Koma (Women Leader) and Mohammed Bako Gamu (Vice Chairman Southern zone), the newly sworn in Women leader, Mrs. Patricia Yakubu said the party is taking back the state in 2023.
Patricia who replaced Hauwa from Ganye Local Government said women are the back born of democracy but once there is no unity in any system there cannot be any meaningful successes.
At the swearing-in ceremony at the party secretariat Thursday afternoon in Yola, Mrs. Yakubu called on women to unite and corporate, for the success that lies ahead can only be possible through unity of purpose.
She said disunity in the party is what caused the party to lose in the last 2019 election, but stressed that she will use women of Adamawa state to toe the paths of unity for taking over the state come 2023.
While calling on all the party supporters to unite, the former commissioner of Agriculture during Bala James Nggilari’s regime said APC is a party to beat in the state because it is the only formidable party with structure all around.
She vowed to galvanize, mobilize, and rally around all the women within and outside the party for APC success.
The acting chairman, Elder Tadawus Samaila while responding after their swearing-in welcome of the two replaced officials, described them as progressives team partners for the party’s 2023 political activities.
Yakubu was sworn in alongside Honourable Umar Hammanjoda who replaced Mohammed Bako Gamu the Southern Zone Vice Chairman
Umar also said they will team up with the party officials, and work as a team to reclaim back the party’s mandate.
