Taraba State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress APC, Hon. Abdulmumini Vaki, on Friday dispelled insinuations that there are factions in the Party in the state.
Vaki who was speaking over his victory as the elected Chairman of the Party in Taraba State told newsmen in Jalingo that APC is one not only in Taraba but Nigeria in general and has only one National Chairman as well, as according to him election was conducted peacefully and he won, and was sworn-in just of recent by the National Body of the party in Abuja.
He said the party in the state emerged more united after the Ward, Local Government and State congresses, as such “there is no existing faction in the party as being spread by the enemies of unity and progress of the party.”
The Chairman explained that he would do his best to ensure that the APC in the state it form a government of the people by the people and for people and carry everyone along to achieve the desired objective come 2019.
” If you do not understand what i mean by government of the people by the people and for the people i mean, it comprises all aspects of development that a responsible government will ensure it provides for it’s citizens interms of education, health, agriculture, youth empowerment as well as infrastructure amongst others, we are hoping to form a government of the masses unlike the present government of PDP that has nothing to write home about for three year now ruling the state ” He said.
Hon. Abdulmumini Vaki therefore promised to deliver Taraba State during the fourth coming elections for President Muhammadu Buhari, while he commended the President for his foresight toward transforming the country and effort making in ensuring peace and security as well as unity amongst Nigerians.
However, the state APC Chairman appreciated the President over the Mambila Hydro-power project in Sardauna local government area of Taraba State which is his hometown, pointing out that the project will no doubt when completed generates employment for many unemployed youth across the nation, expressing obtimism that when it is done also the issue of power problem will become to history.
Reacting on the issue of political thuggery mostly engaged by the youth, Hon. Abdulmumini Vaki expressed dismay and condemned such act while he called on not only the youths of his party but including those of the ruling party in the state the pdp to desist from taking oder by any polician to engage in thuggery or any act that could cause chaos in the society, pointing out that if politians will hide or take away their children to abroad why would the youth allowed themselves to be used as thugs by such people. He emphasized.
He then called on women to come out and participate fully in the political race, saying that the APC is a party that gives everyone chance irrespective of gender, tribal or religion differences to excell.
