The former Governor of Adamawa state , Admiral Murtala Nyako on Thursday in Yola told his supporters that they would be forced to part ways with the APC if the National leadership do not reverse the injustices and impunity being commited within the party.
He stated that it is height of impunity to deprive party supporters of their right to choose their own leaders.
He said it was unfortunate that a party in which he was a foundation member, and a major stakeholder would deny him voting rights in his polling units.
Nyako , who was addressing a protest rally organised by Former Governor Murtala Nyako’s camp over the recent party congresses in the state.
The Party faithfuls and other stakeholders in their thousands converged at the private residence of Former Governor Nyako Thursday in Yola chanting protest political rhythms registering their dissatisfaction and dismay over the way the Governor Muhammad Jibrilla Bindow’s administration and Party leadership alleged ly treated them.
Earlier,Former Governor Murtala Nyako appreciated the gesture of the political camp stressing that the adminstration of Governor Bindow has failed to live up to expectation. Describing the situation as unpolitical and unacceptable and which must resisted vehemently.
Nyako said Adamawa that is made of 87 ethnic groups with 226 wards have been shortchanged with the recent ward,Local and State congresses in which electorate were not allowed to elect their choices.
“Politics is the judicious us of public resources for betterment of the societies and that a situation, where a government has shirked its responsibility and committement to the welfare of the people, that loses legitimacy.
“” we would not condone injustices. And we would committee ourselves to effect a change for the best of the society.
