The Chairman House Committee on information of Adamawa state House of Assembly (ADHA), Hon Japhate Kefas said they will swing into action to take any disciplinary measures on the Chairmen that fought inside the government House Chambers few days ago.
Kefas who is the Member representing Gombi constituency said none of the lawmakers was there whne the fight broke out to ascertain the level of the melee between the chairmen who according to a report fought one another over money.
“We are not officially informed of their beef, but once we get that we swing into action because the constitution permits disciplinary action to be taken on any gross misconduct,” Kefas said
He also said that it is abused by office armed at desecrating the hollow chambers of the Adamawa state most exalted office, a place that holds the pride and the glory of every person in Adamawa state.
But on a contrary view, a Lawyer and a Human Right activist, Barr Samson Bukar Mshelmbulla posited that must not wait for any official letter to do what the Constitution has mandated them to do.
According to him, they are under a constitution cover to do their functions as lawmakers who make laws, checkmates the excesses of the Executive and call into the book any public office holder whenever anyone of them is derailing.
“I expect the house through its relevant committee(s) to immediately swing into action to unravel the gross misconduct of the chairmen who brought low the sanctity of the state’s hallow chambers,” Samsom said
