Well-Deserved Award: Engineer Gangkuba Celebrates Gov Fintiri’s Honorary Doctorate

On Saturday, July 26, 2025, His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Executive Governor of Adamawa State, was conferred with a prestigious PhD Honorary Causa by the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, in recognition of his exceptional leadership and transformative governance. The accolade, celebrated at a vibrant ceremony on the university’s main campus, drew academic leaders, government officials, traditional rulers, and community influencers from across Nigeria, all uniting to honor Fintiri’s remarkable contributions to public service and national development.

Engineer Suleiman Ahmed Gangkuba, Chairman of Toungo Local Government Area and the Adamawa State Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), hailed the honor as a fitting tribute to Governor Fintiri’s relentless dedication to Adamawa’s progress.

A revered grassroots politician Gangkuba described the recognition as a testament to Fintiri’s people-centered leadership.

“Governor Fintiri is a true servant of the people, whose policies have transformed lives from Yola to the remotest parts of Adamawa,” Gangkuba declared. He highlighted Fintiri’s landmark infrastructure projects, such as the expansion of Galadima Aminu Way, and empowerment initiatives for small-scale entrepreneurs as evidence of his commitment to sustainable development.
