It is no longer secret that Nigeria in recent times has not had a good perception from news reports around the world  especially from the west. Although we cannot ignore the troubling challenges we currently face bothering around socio-economic imbalances and insecurity, but we can’t place a zero mark on the nation.

Somehow a story comes better and sounds palatable when reported by one who has a first-hand information about it. No one can give a better story or report about Nigeria than her citizens. They are the ones who are directly involved in the struggles, who are daily confronted with the challenges and are the only persons who can give accurate reports about the country. The truth lies with the average Nigerian on the streets who are first responders as the news breaks – they don’t only respond to the news, they make the news.

Another truth is that Nigeria is blessed with resources both material and human but unless it is unveiled to the world, the peoples of the world across continents may never understand the full story and the immense potentials embedded in Nigeria. We are definitely more than the single story of corruption, kidnappings, insecurity and other vices being bandied around.

This is a responsibility that some patriots must take up – beyond what government can do, there is what the citizens can do. We must keep spreading the news and that is exactly what the Unveiling Nigeria Programme is designed to do. To showcase the potentials available in Nigeria to the entire world. To make visible the colours of our cultural diversity and how they make us a great nation. Our vast and enticing destinations are not left out of the story and the new global standard made in Nigeria goods and services. This programme is poised to tell the world of the developments and technologies made by Nigerians and to put on the spot-light, the unsung heroes of our star citizens who make us proud by the excellent creativity and sterling performances both in Nigeria and across the world.

As part of the offerings of this platform, it will serve as a manual for the Nigerian product showing the formation and composition of states in Nigeria with the associated positives from the nooks and crannies of these regions.

Governance and leadership issues will be discussed deliberated on and thoroughly shaped on the history pages. It’s like a compass that will give direction into various cities and areas.

The unveiling Nigeria is another positive development that will foster greater interaction and connection between the government to the citizens and vice-versa as it provides opportunities for everyone.
