Hajiya Lami Fintiri in Adamawa State has lunch home-to-house food distribution to 1000 households as a palliative against coronavirus effect.
Wednesday’s Community Food Bank of Wheel Initiative distributed pasta, spaghetti, cocking oil, beans, groundnut oil, salt and Maggi sacks, in Malamre, Lugere, Jimeta and to cover the state’s 21 LGAs.

Dr Hasuruna Amos, Executive Director of the Agro-Ecological Sustainable Development Initiative (AGESTI), said that medical teams will go round the councils to sensitize people about the need for personal hygiene against coronavirus pandemics.
Amos said cash intervention assistance will be disbursed equally to three needy wards at each of the state’s LGAs.
He also said the cash will target elderly, vulnerable women, nursing mothers, and pregnant mothers.
Mary Adamu, Press Secretary / Information to the Governor’s wife noted that, to ensure accountability, AGESTI is the FAO implementing partner and consultants of the Multi-Sectoral Crisis Recovery Project at World Bank.
Adamu urged people to be crucial in combating the pandemic by daily hand washing.
