… says ‘they’ve pushing Fubara against me,’ vows to give them final defeat

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has identified the politicians he is fighting against in Rivers State.

He, however, said he is not at war with his estranged political son and the suspended Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The former Rivers governor named the persons he is fighting with in the state to include ex-governor Celestine Omehia, former minister Abiye Sekibo and ex-deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Austin Okpara.

Wike disclosed this in an interview with BBC Pidgin published on Saturday afternoon.

He said, “I am fighting those who want to reap where they did not sow.

“People like Celestine Omehia, Abiye Sekibo and Austin Okpara.

“I have defeated them before and I will give them the final defeat.”

The FCT Minister further claimed that Omehia, Sekibo and Okpara are the ones pushing Fubara to go head-to-head with him.

Wike’s revelation is coming amid reports that Fubara, who was suspended by President Bola Tinubu following a declaration of a State of Emergency, has apologised to his estranged godfather.
