Wike’s PDP Screens Sandy Onor as Sole Presidential Aspirant, Clears 25 Governorship Hopefuls

The faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by former Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, on Thursday successfully screened its sole presidential aspirant, Senator Sandy Onor, alongside 25 governorship aspirants from 17 states.

The screening exercise took place at the PDP Legacy House in Abuja as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

According to party officials, Senator Sandy Onor, who emerged as the only presidential aspirant, was screened alongside governorship candidates from across the country. The 25 governorship hopefuls are eyeing their party’s tickets in their respective states.
