A collation of women groups, ex-lawmakers, ex-councillors and civil socities, Thursday, laud the progressive strides of Adamawa state governor, Senator Muhammad Umar Jubrilla Bindow.
The groups, in two separate courtesy visits to the governor at the Government House, Yola, commended the governor for his swift developmental strides in the State.
Speaking during the first visit, Hon J. J. Ahmed, who served at the State Assembly from 1979-1983, commended the governor for transforming the lives of Adamawa people within a short period of time.
“No State in the federation has had such a gathering of ex-lawmakers coming together to state point and this is because we are fully convinced that Bindow is the right man for Adamawa State”.
” It is our collective decision to come and identify with Bindow’s good governance and charge the governor to continue this good work”.
While also speaking in a separate visit, State coordinator, Bindow Enlightement and Mobilization Forum (BEM Forum), Hon Hassan Ahmadu Maiha, stated that BEM Forum has been in the forefront in propagating the progressive work of the governor.
“We are pleased to merge our Forums into a singular body of #TeamBindow that will continue to portray the laudable projects of the governor devoid of partisanship”.
“#TeamBindow is an umbrella of all groups that has supported this administration as well as bodies and individuals who are now convinced Bindow is headed towards the right direction”, he further explained.
Maiha, then presented BEM Forum’s documentations to the leader of the #TeamBindow, Alhaji Abdullahi Bakari as a pledge to the total support of the #TeamBindow’s course.
Also speaking during the visit, the Sarauniyar Matan Batchama kingdom, Mrs Ukeriya Solomon, emphasised the importance of women to the progress and development of any administration.
She stated that women have been in the forefront of selling the positive governance of Bindow’s administration to the public and they will continue to do so as a statement of their confidence in the governor.
She then tasked the governor to look into the affairs of women as a compensation for their struggles and big voter base, “women are the majority of voters in many States, it’s sad that they get little consideration in government affairs”, she concluded.
On his part, the leader, Former Councillors Forum, Adamawa State chapter, Hon Aliyu Idris thanked the governor for having a government for all and operating an open door policy in the State.
“Bindow has convinced everyone in the State and Nigeria as a whole that with him, it’s always Adamawa people first”.
Other dignitaries in the visit include, Hon Yindimo Vidiyon Bute, director women mobilization, Bindow Enlightement and mobilization Forum (BEM Forum) and excos of the Forum, women groups, student associations and civil societies.
