Women’s World Day: First Lady enjoins Adamawa women to Contribute to the growing economy of the nation

To commemorate International Women’s Day, Adamawa State First Lady, Mrs. Lami Umaru Fintiri has called on women to be more dedicated and contribute meaningfully to the socio-economic growth of the Nation.

Mrs Fintiri said this in a statement signed by her chief Press Secretary, Mrs Clara Mustapha.

Mrs Fintiri in the statement said the International Women day is a day dedicated to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women worldwide.

This year’s theme is “Investing in women; Accelerate Progress” which resonates strongly with the First Lady’s commitment to fostering gender equality, education, and health care for women in Adamawa State.

In Honor of International Women’s Day, the First Lady’s renewed hope to foster a better society for women, especially the vulnerable ones has been rewarding.

Lami emphasized the pivotal role women play in the social, economic, and political development of Adamawa State.

She therefore encouraged the state, especially women to actively participate in this event and join the movement towards a more inclusive and equal society.

The statement adds that Through collaborative efforts, Adamawa State aims to empower women, inspire positive change, and create a brighter future for all.
