The Adamawa State coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Mr Atali Samson has said that skill Acquisition is the remedy of unemployment, crimes and reactiveness among Nigerian Youth.

He disclosed this during the 2024 International youth day celebration that held at the government house banquet hall,Dougirei, Jimeta -Yola.
He further emphasize the need to support the NYSC’s skill Acquisition and entrepreneurship development (SAED) programme by various stakeholders.
The state coordinator mentioned that the NYSC SAED programme has partnered with several financial institutions such as CBN, Bank of Industry, Access Bank, Unity bank, NNPC foundation and many more that provides start-up capital to deserving youths to set up their business to enable them become self reliant and job employers rather than job seekers.
The Event which was organized by the Adamawa state government under the ministry of youth and sports development was declared open by the governor of the state Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru fintiri, ably represented by the commissioner, ministry of youth and sports development, Barr.wali Yakubu, who also double as the chairman NYSC state governing Board.
In line with the theme for the international youth day celebration “ from clicks to progress: Youth digital pathway for sustainable development” and with corps members and other social group as participants.
Barr. Wali advised youths to strive to acquire relevant skills to become useful and self reliant on the society without engaging in political thuggery or having to wait for white collar jobs.
The year’s theme encourage youths to move beyond mere digital engagement to hernessing technology for meaningful sustainable impact.
Also, to mark the occasion were exhibitions by the NYSC skill Acquisition and entrepreneurship development (SAED) , where the commissioner and other participants inspected finished products by corps members under the SAED programme.
Other highlights include digital training for youths, an interactive session on youth digital entrepreneurship, paper presentations, talk-show showcasing youth-led organizations and their contribution to youth development in the state.
