As we celebrate the international youth day, our primary agenda should be on how to help young people realize their true potential to enable them manage the resources that exist in their immediate environment.
It is only in this way, that we can truly achieve genuine youth development for today and the future. I have also come to realize that no one can explain the needs of young people better than young people themselves. My dear respected teeming youth, we an important asset to any society.
When you talk about Youth you talk about today, but when you talk about a child you talk about tomorrow and when you talk about elders you talk about yesterday. Despite our vita importance in the society, we still face some challenges such as, old people who do not trust and do not want to give us chance, social challenges and economic depression.
The Useful ones among us sees all these challenges and uses them as stepping stone but the opposite one will use these as excuses for not participating in societal development. Is time we rise to the occasion.
The time is now. If we want to achieve anything meaningful development, there is the need to harness the idealism of youth through co-management and put youth at the heart of development.
