Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has described it as an unfortunate Monday’s fire disaster at the PZ roundabout where property worth millions of naira was destroyed.
Governor Fintiri while thanking God that no life was lost, expressed sympathy with those who were affected by the inferno urging them to take heart and have hope in God that they will have a comeback and not to see the unfortunate incident as the end of the road for them.
The Governor regretted the sad incident which occurred Monday morning.
“I feel saddened by the event and I’m particularly disturbed by the news of the disaster. My heart goes out to those who were affected”. He said.
Governor Ahmadu through his press secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou said the Governor commiserated that the event happened at a difficult time of biting economic doldrums as citizens work hard to make ends meet.
While regretting the huge losses, Governor Fintiri notes that “The Government stands by you at this trying moment. I wish to therefore express my deep sympathy to victims who lose valuables to the disaster. On behalf of the Government and people of Adamawa State, please do accept my sympathy. I assure you of the support of my Government and pray that the incident does not break you economically”.
