Young Kaduna APC Aspirant Goes Viral After Appearance at House of Reps Screening

A 30-year-old aspirant from Kaduna State, Mohammed Sadis Buba, has sparked widespread reactions on social media following his appearance at the screening exercise of the All Progressives Congress for the Sabon Gari/Zaria Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.

In a viral video circulating online on Sunday, Buba was seen appearing before members of the party’s screening committee dressed in traditional attire, attracting attention from party supporters and social media users.

Speaking during the exercise, the young aspirant said his decision to contest was based on the demand of his constituents and his desire to serve the people.

“It is not about me; it is my people who called me to serve,” he said.

Buba disclosed that Uba Sani was aware of his political ambition, adding that he is contesting directly against an incumbent member of the House of Representatives for the APC ticket.

“My people called me to serve and I am ready. We are only two running for the APC ticket, and my opponent is a serving member,” he stated.

The development has generated discussions within political circles in Kaduna, with many observers describing Buba’s emergence as a sign of increasing youth participation in the country’s political process ahead of future elections.

The APC is expected to conclude its screening processes before conducting primary elections to determine candidates for various elective offices.
