Coalition of Adamawa Youths unite to fight covid-19 in the State

In a world Press Conference the Youth of Adamawa State under the umbrella of state Youth Coalition has teamed up to contribute their quota to fight the deadly coronavirus Pandemic.

According to them they have come together and set up a committee that will go on massive campaign awareness against covid-19 virus that is now the problem of the world.

The Youths from various organizations comprising of Youth CAN, Muslim youth council of Nigerian, Boys Brigade,WAI Brigade,Jamaatu Nasir Islam,Arewa Youth Assembly and Arewa Youthouth consultative forum.

Other Associations forming the coalition are Youth with a vision,Royal Ambassadors,Man’o War,Bwatiye Youth consultantative forum,YMCA and national Youth Coalition Adamawa State Chapter.

The Coalition while addressing Journalists at the NUJ Secretary in Yola revealed to have set up a sensitization committee on covid-19 for the purpose of creating much awareness to the people at the grassroot about the virus.

While reading the press statement,Mr Simon Inuazo Said the Coalition has strategically formed a committee that will coordinate the compaign awareness from State Government, Local Government, Ward and will go down to unit levels.

They commended the State Government for taken proactive measures in curbing the spread of the virus with Paliative put in place to caution the effects caused by the virus.

“It is highly commendable that the various programs fashioned out by the committee under the leadership of the Secretary to the state government Bashir Ahmad is yielding positive results hence the absence of a positive case in Adamawa.

“By way of completing the state government effort towards combating this killer disease, the Adamawa State youth sensitization committee on covid-19 which has branches across the state is embarking on sensitization exercise that will further bolster the effort of the people in adhering to government’s stipulated regulations on curtailing the spread of covid-19.

“We are extending this sensitization across religious divide and also in consonance with a participation of all Political.” They said

The Coalition made a passionate appeal to the general public to maintain social distancing and to observe personal hygiene which includes the washing of hands, use of hand sanitizers and face mask, stressing that covid-19 is real people should be wary of misleading information that will hamper the success of fighting the dreaded Pandemic.
