Youths from Bali razes down over 100 houses of Fulani communities-LG Chair

The Executive Chairman of Mayo Belwa Local Government area (LGA) of Adamawa State,Alhaji Mohammed Bako said over 100 houses were razed down by suspected youths from Bali village area of Demsa LGA of the state.

Bako in a phone interview said the attack was not resulted to many casualties but few people sustained injuries in a razed down village of Bidda.

“Over hundred houses were burnt down by youths from Demsa and no much casualties were recorded.” He Said

He Said that armed Police swinged into action to some part of the communities but because of the difficult terrains of the areas they stopped half way without going to the hinter land of the attack villages.

Ardo Bammeri of Gengle told our reporter that the Bali Youths were stampede when the met a fierce defence by the Fulani Youths of Bamusa and Gengle of Mayo Belwa LGA of the State.

An indigene of Demsa who wants to be ananomous said what happened today in Bidda and others villages of fulanis is purely a reprisal attack.

According to him the people of Bali followed armed Fulani for a payback attack who had yesterday attacked their community,destroyed Houses and many people were killed.
