A pro-democracy Nigerian Youths group has reinstated its commitment to support the course of good governance and has issued a press statement over the recent pronouncement of a Court appeal on the Zamfara State Governorship election.
The Secretary of the group Gazalli Hardawa signed a press release condemning the outcome of the Abuja Court of Appeal which set aside Governor Dauda Lawal Dare’s election.
According to the statement, the judgment to have decided on rerun elections in three Local Government areas of Maradun, Birnin-Magaji, and Bukkuyum is unnecessary.
Gazalli in the statement said the group has monitored the leadership of Dr Dauda in his few months in office and adjudged it the most competent and people-driven.
They have pledged their mandate of support and called on their members of respective party affiliations to support the leadership of Governor Dauda.
The group in their statement called on all members to ensure Dauda wins in the inconclusive election to be scheduled at a later date by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
According to them, Dauda is the best thing that happened to the people of Zamfara State and enjoined well-meaning Nigerians and supporters of Democracy to rise against all forms of leadership defects.
They heaped their blame on Nigeria’s myriad problems caused by a lack of good Leadership ideals among many people.
They said the ineptitude of the government of Zamfara is a leadership problem that no one should encourage them to return rn because it will have a devastating effect on the people who are yearning for better leaders.
“We support this Man to succeed, we can’t watch incapable individuals destroy Zamfara and Nigeria. We are bent on this and our aim is goodness for sustainable democracy.
“We have already mobilized our members to give Governor Dauda all the needed support he needs to succeed in the coming rerun election in the affected Local Government areas.” The statement read.
