A High Powered delegation from the Borno State Government, led by Executive Governor Babagana Umara Zulum and billionaire businessman Mohammed Indimi, paid a condolence visit to the family, well-wishers, friends, and political associates of the late Professor Jibril Aminu at his residence behind the Adamawa State Government House in Yola.
The delegation, which included Senator Mohammed Tahir (MT) Munguno, Deputy Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly Rt. Honourable Abdullahi Askira, Honourable Abdulqadir Rahis, House of Representatives member representing Maiduguri Metropolitan City, and Honourable Engineer Bukar Talba, House of Representatives member representing Ngazai, Marte, and Munguno Federal Constituency, was received at Yola International Airport by the Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaleptapwa George Farauta.
The delegation was then escorted to the residence of the late Professor Jibril Aminu, where they were received by Dr. Aliyu Idi Hong, former Minister of Health, Foreign Affairs, Culture and Tourism, and Trade and Investment, who introduced the Borno State delegation to the family of the deceased.
Speaking on behalf of the nine children of Professor Jibril Aminu, one of his sons, Murtala Jibril Aminu, expressed gratitude to the Borno State delegation for their condolence visit, thanking them extremely for taking the time to pay their respects.
The Adamawa State Deputy Governor, Professor Kaleptapwa George Farauta, was accompanied by Honourable Commissioners of Environment and Youth and Sports Development, among others. Notably, Ahmed Indimi, son of Borno billionaire businessman Mohammed Indimi, was also part of the Borno State delegation.
The visit underscored the high regard in which Professor Jibril Aminu was held by people across the North East region of Nigeria. and the Borno State delegation’s gesture was seen as a mark of respect for the deceased’s contributions to society.
