In his usual message of felicitation to the Muslim community in Nigeria, the Archbishop of the Lutheran Church of Christ in Nigeria Most Rev Dr Panti Filibus Musa sends out warm Sallah greetings. In a message made available to newsmen by his Media assistant Felix Samari, Archbishop Musa said Eid El Kabir is very significant in the life of the Muslim faithfuls, he called on them to use the lessons of the feast to spread love, peace and harmony.

The message in full:

I bring you greetings of peace during this season of great celebration. Eid El Kabir demonstrates, sacrifice and love for God, which also means love for one another and the making of daily sacrifices for fellow human beings as God’s creation, irrespective of their race, color or religion.

I felicitate with the Muslim faithfuls all over Nigeria and around the world at the return of this great feast.

May I use this opportunity to also call for continued prayer for Nigeria, that God may intervene in ways beyond human understanding, that there may be justice, a precondition for peace, security and development of our nation. Let our prayers translate into the will and concrete actions towards the elimination of hunger and poverty and the challenge of the coronavirus that is a global threat to all of us.

I pray that this season’s blessings will remain within your homes and extend everywhere in the society. Amen.

Happy Eid El Kabir!

Signed
His Grace Most Rev Musa Panti Filibus, PhD
